This is a great recipe for a starter (appetizer) that can be prepared ahead of time giving you more time to enjoy your company!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 8 ounce (1 cup) white crabmeat, lobster, crawfish, prawns or shrimps, roughly chopped.
  • 3 tablespoons thick mayonnaise recipe.

Instructions

  1. Cut a slice off the end of the tomato where the stem was.
  2. Scoop out the pulp.
  3. Sprinkle the cavity with salt and leave upside down to drain.
  4. Fill the tomatoes with the chopped crabmeat or whatever you have chosen.
  5. Replace the lids.
  6. Serve cold.
  7. Such an easy and quick recipe which will give you a really colorful display for your table and lots of mmm's from your family and friends.
