A fresh French green salad recipe or salade vertes of crisp lettuce, endives (chicory), watercress, lambs lettuce, and/or dandelion leaves. So delicious!

Lettuce and/or other salad greens of your choice.

Vinaigrette Dressing

Instructions
Prepare the lettuce or salad greens by carefully washing in cold water, then shake in a salad basket or clean tea cloth until dry.
Mix the vinaigrette dressing in the salad bowl.
Add the lettuce or leaves. Tear the leaves if they are large but never shred them.
Just before serving, toss very lightly with the dressing until all leaves are covered and serve.

You can serve it as a first course or alongside your main dish.
Make enough for a few days by storing in an air-tight container in the refrigerator before adding the dressing, and have it at the ready.
