Buttered Chanterelle Mushroom Recipe

Description

Buttered Chanterelle Mushroom Recipe are beautifully cooked mushrooms, and are a wonderful accompaniment to many dishes. They are easy to prepare, and taste excellent. 


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 500 gram fresh chanterelles or girolles
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 50 gram unsalted butter
  • 3 shallots, peeled and chopped
  • 6 sprigs of fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the mushrooms and sprinkle with the lemon juice
  2. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the mushrooms and brown for 10 minutes over a moderate heat, stirring frequently, but carefully with a wooden spatula
  3. Add the shallots and parsley, along with the garlic
  4. Season with salt pepper
  5. Cover and cook for 20 minutes
