This is a great recipe for a starter (appetizer) that can be prepared ahead of time giving you more time to enjoy your company!

As Parisienne Tomatoes

This stuffed tomatoes recipe is done in Parisienne style. They are so wonderfully tasty and colorful on your table. Great for your hors d oeuvres or appetizers as they are so easy to make and a good way to use the tomatoes from your garden or when they are cheap from the grocery store. Use shrimp for the filling or mix it up with crab, lobster, or crawfish, they are all scrumptious, mixed or alone!

Parisienne style tomatoes are great starters, delicious hors d oeuvres to compliment your great looking table, and serving great taste.

Made with fresh, ripe tomatoes and your favorite seafood combination or just the one you like the most, like a scallop side dish..

Mixed with homemade mayonnaise that has several variations to try this will soon become a number one hit!

Although this dish is an excellent party or company recipe to serve, it will also make a perfect lunch of snack.

It have many creative possibilities.

Ingredients

  • 8 tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 8 oz 1 cup white crabmeat, lobster, crawfish, prawns or shrimps, roughly chopped.
  • 3 tablespoons thick mayonnaise recipe.

Instructions
 

  • Cut a slice off the end of the tomato where the stem was.
  • Scoop out the pulp.
  • Sprinkle the cavity with salt and leave upside down to drain.
  • Fill the tomatoes with the chopped crabmeat or whatever you have chosen.
  • Replace the lids.
  • Serve cold.
  • Such an easy and quick recipe which will give you a really colorful display for your table and lots of mmm's from your family and friends.
