Only 3 Ingredients To Quick Refreshingness

A heavenly homemade strawberry sorbet recipe is just what you need on a hot summer's day. Especially this one, it is quick and easy to make with only 3 ingredients! I have other easy delightful desserts wrapped around fruit too, like this Plum Dessert, this Pear Recipe, or Peach Melba Dessert!

strawberry sorbet

This is a recipe from Provence and is just the easiest recipe I have ever used.

All you need are summer fresh succulent strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. 3 simple ingredients what could be easier?

A sorbet or 'ices' as they are also called are wonderful for family desserts, anytime treats, or entertaining.

They are especially good for you made with fresh fruit but of course you can use frozen fruit when it is not available.

Another great idea is to fill ice lolly moulds or popsicles with the sorbet for the kids which is a much healthier option and tasty too.

Ingredients

  • 4½ cup strawberries
  • 3½ cup icing sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • If you find this recipe too sweet just add a few more strawberries or use a little less sugar next time to start. Sometimes the strawberries are quite sweet themselves, so it is up to you. Some of us have a "sweeter tooth" than others. 😉

Instructions

  • Rinse the strawberries and remove their stems.
  • Mix to a pulp in a blender or mash by hand.
  • Add the sugar and the lemon juice.
  • Place in a container and put in the freezer and leave for a couple of hours.

Notes

  • Don't pulverize the strawberries smooth if you like some strawberry pieces left in.
  • You can use a sugar substitute like allulose for a lighter calorie count.

This Website is AMAZING! I was raised by my stepmother, who was born in France and grew up eating this food! Every Sunday, we would go to her mother's house and eat. I have been trying to recreate these recipes on my own and have failed miserably. THANK YOU for having these recipes for use! They are FANTASTIC!
