This recipe is simply a split avocado with vinaigrette drizzled over the fruit. So very simple yet sophisticated and delicious.

Partial bottle of vinaigrette, half a green avocado with beige pit, half a yellow lemon, corner of blue plate with green leaves, all on black background.

This is one of the easiest avocado vinaigrette recipes to make for a quick appetizer or hors d'oeuvres. Simple but appealing and very tasty. If you love avocado you will love this one. So very simple yet sophisticated and delicious!

Partial bottle of vinaigrette, half a green avocado with beige pit, half a yellow lemon, corner of blue plate with green leaves, all on black background.

It is simply a split avocado with vinaigrette drizzled over the fruit. How much easier could preparing a delicious appetizer be.

Ingredients

  • avocados
  • lemon
  • vinaigrette dressing
  • bay leaves

How To Make This Simple Appetizer

  • Cut the avocados in half lengthwise. Remove the pit.
  • Cut the lemon in half. With one half rub the avocado halves all over the exposed flesh to prevent them from oxidizing, which would result in the surface turning brown, not very appetizing.
  • Next, mix up the vinaigrette dressing which is also very quick and easy. (check it out with the link I have provided)
  • When you have placed the avocado halves on the serving plate(s), drizzle each half with the avocado vinaigrette dressing. The only steps left now are to serve and eat!

What Other Quick & Easy Appetizers Are There?

  • If you have never had or made Tapenade, it is easy and scrumptious. Here is another version of this yummy dish Tapenade Dip. Both are simply made of purΓ©ed or finely chopped olives, capers, anchovies and olive oil and the dip version has a few more ingredients. Just let your guests or family spread it on crackers or crusty bread and serve with fresh vegetables (crudites in France!). Delicious!
  • Try this colorful appetizer that is so slick to put together and like the other starters I have put together here nutritious and satisfying.
  • Of course, a green salad with your most loved salad dressing selection is always welcome!
