❤️About This Recipe

Often fresh ingredients are available in spring and summer although now we can buy them readily available in the supermarkets all year.

In many places, you can buy large bunches of fresh salad greens in the supermarkets and the many markets in most towns and villages.

For more in-depth information on summer salads like this one visit The Ultimate Guide to types of salads and how to make them.

📋Ingredients

  • Lettuce and/or other salad green of your choice. There is no exact recipe for this, but a combination of fresh green leaves, whatever is available for the season where you live.
  • Vinaigrette dressing, try one of these yummy recipes from French Salad Dressing Recipes.

🔢Instructions

The green salad is served on a separate plate with a vinaigrette dressing, an oil and vinegar dressing, very easy to make at home so you don't need to buy expensive bottles of this ready-made from the supermarket.

  • wash the salad greens and pat dry or spin dry with a salad spinner
  • mix the vinaigrette of your choice right in the salad bowl you will serve the salad in.
  • let the dressing sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • add the greens and toss them into the vinaigrette mixing well. (never stirring, always tossing)

Now you have your beautiful fresh green salad, easily made in no time!

🥂How To Serve This Summer Salad

  • It is best served alongside your main dish.
  • It is also a quickly made addition to a buffet table.
  • A perfect light lunch.

🍴Equipment

  • salad bowl
  • salad spinner

❄️Storage

  • Make enough for a few days and keep it in an air tight container in the refrigerator, without the dressing, to have it at the ready.
  • Add the vinaigrette when ready to serve.

A simple and yet healthy addition to your family meals with very little work involved - and that's a bonus!
